Antar & Abla marks a cultural milestone as one of the largest Arabic operas ever staged in Abu Dhabi. Rooted in Arab heritage, it reimagines the legendary love story of Antar and Abla through a contemporary production that blends tradition with global artistry.

The International Tennis Centre at Zayed Sports City will be transformed into a world-class open-air theatre for six nights in December 2025. Audiences will experience a unique fusion of Arabic storytelling, immersive staging, and international collaboration, including performances by the Lanzhou Symphony Orchestra and Shaolin Monks. Recognized with the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Arabic Language in Cultural Excellence, the opera underscores Abu Dhabi’s role as a hub for culture and dialogue, celebrates 40 years of UAE–China friendship, and introduces Arabic opera to new generations in a way that is modern, accessible, and globally relevant.
