Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Zayed Sports City are teaming up to offer the ultimate indoor sports experience this summer as the third edition of Abu Dhabi Sports Festival makes its ZSC debut. Under the slogan "Stay Active, Stay Healthy", the massive event will take place daily from 8 July until 20 August.

Three specialised structures will be erected adjacent to the tennis centre, providing an indoor environment that allows athletes to escape summer heat and humidity. Among the structures, one will be dedicated to football, hosting two 5-a-side pitches. The second will host specialty activities and events while the third will include football, basketball, volleyball, mini tennis and fitness. Food and beverage will be available in both tents with Costa and Simple Café both serving up delicious fare.

Abu Dhabi Sports Festival offers physical activities in different ways so that people of all ages can feel comfortable to join in.

Every morning from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. will include "Open Play" sessions specifically for families. Children ages 4-16 can enter for only AED 21 each and are then free to take part in the activities within the structure. Led by enthusiastic sportspeople, kids will be able to try out football, basketball, tennis, fitness games and much more throughout the session. Anyone outside of the age range can accompany the participant at no charge. Parents or nannies are encouraged to watch or join the excitement as all children must supervised at all times.

Football will be available for bookings all day long, from 10:00 a.m until 11:00 p.m., with a fee of just AED 300 per hour. Volleyball groups may rent a court from 6:00 p.m. onwards at a rate of only AED 150 per hour. Groups are encouraged to register in advance to secure their preferred times and may do so through the booking portal on Walk-in bookings are accepted, subject to availability.

This effort to provide physical activity opportunities in summer is also working to make sports part of a healthy lifestyle, spread awareness about the importance of sport for both individuals and society, and increase sport awareness across generations. It is made possible through generous support of the Department of Health, Emirates Motor Company, Etihad Airways, Al Ain Water, Dar al Shifaa Hospital and Harlequin Arena.
