It is the 8th year for the ADCB Pink 5&10k Run and eager participants are signing up already, with good reason. Not only does making the commitment early on set you up for better success and make you less likely to skip out, but now it gives extra money to charity and includes entry into a lucky draw.

Open to men and women, both genders are given an incentive to join the run ASAP. Men who register before 1 August will have the donation portion of their registration fee doubled by Gulf Multi Sport, the event organiser. Simply deciding to run will impact your own health and make an even bigger impact on the health of those with breast cancer through Al Jalila Foundation.

Ladies are incentivised to register by 1 September as doing so enters them into a draw. Runderwear, a new event partner, has donated some gifts. Consisting of performance underwear designed to maximise comfort, three lucky random winners will be awarded with this special gift valued at more than AED 200.

More excitement is on the way this edition as the Mile for a Smile initiative was just announced. This element serves to encourage first time participation in running among children. The latest studies show that childhood obesity is on the rise in Abu Dhabi and inspired by government led community initiatives, the introduction of the Mile for a Smile event to the Zayed Sports City Run Series takes steps, literally, to help reverse this trend.

With Mile for a Smile, health and happiness is more important than finishing time and the distance is designed to be possible for every child, even if they haven’t run before. Walk, run or jog, success is achieved through completion. During the month of July, you can register your child with the code MFASPINK18 to receive AED 10 discount on the entry price.

Attracting over a 1,500 participants, this year's Pink Run will start in the iconic Zayed Sports City Stadium before winding around closed roads as runners return to the stadium for a triumphant finish. Personal bests will be achieved, winners will be crowned and Al Jalila Foundation will benefit from a generous donation.

Always popular, don't delay in registering for the ADCB Pink 5&10k Run, which will take place on the morning of 12 October. To learn more
