Over the course of three days, Zayed Sports City Ice Rink witnessed an intense ice hockey competition for ladies during the holy month of Ramadan. Three teams rivalled over the title in the Together We Can Ladies Ramadan Tournament. Entries for the third edition of the Ramadan Tournament were completely open and free of charge to all ladies in the capital. Those who don't participate actively in ice hockey were also welcomed to join and had several coaching sessions from the UAE's National Ice Hockey Team.

Fatema Al Qubaisi, captain of the UAE National Ice Hockey Team, is the organiser of this annual tournament and has expressed her enthusiasm and reasoning behind establishing and coaching the participants. “This tournament has become a tradition in Ramadan to all of us. I wasn't planning on doing it this year until I heard the ladies say that it's has become a tradition we are used to.”

The UAE National Ice Hockey Team has been involved in promoting the sport and encouraging women to be active on ice.

Participants in the tournament were divided into three teams based on experience and abilities in order to make them equal. The Storms, Anchors and the Gallopers went head to head against each other with a total of 38 ladies participating in the matches. The Storms managed to grab the title from their opponents while the Anchors and Gallopers placed second and third, respectively.

ZSC Academy ice skating couch Louann Cortez, was a member of the winning Storms and was also named as the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the tournament. Latifa Al Suwaidi was the Best Forward player while Sarah Habash earned the title of Best Defenseman.

Congratulations to all who supported this tournament.
