This weekend (5 – 7 January), figure skaters from around the world will be showcasing their talents at the FBMA Trophy for Figure Skating. Taking place at the ice rink, 23 nations will send their best talent to represent them in the competition. Outside the rink will be fun activities for children to enjoy.

Showcasing three times more skaters than before, the competition starts on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. where the Advance Novice Boys will perform their short programme to get things started. The action continues as the Olympic hopefuls and elite athletes move on to their freeskate programmes Friday and Saturday.

In addition to the sports, outside there will be a play zone for children which includes inflatables, food trucks and lots of other fun activities.

The event is totally free to attend and everyone is encouraged to come out and cheer for their native country and the UAE, which will feature famous skater Zahra Lari and other budding Emirati talents as they earn points towards Olympic qualification.
