The Abu Dhabi Ice Rink is located on the boundary of Zayed Sports City, and was developed as a stand-alone facility in 1987. The Abu Dhabi Ice Rink is an Olympic sized international standard facility, and is capable of hosting major sports and entertainment events and enjoys a seating capacity of 1,200.
Our rink is open to the public for public skating as well as ice hockey, figure skating, special events and much more.
Guests from all ages can come and enjoy recreational skating at the largest rink in Abu Dhabi. Enroll in our learn how to skate programs and improve your skills on the ice.
The facility also has a rink side café serving snacks and hot meals to suit everyone's taste. So bring your family and friends.

Learn to Skate
Ice skating dates back to being one of the most sought after winter pastimes in history. An energetic and extremely fun way to get exercise, ice skating is incredibly popular in the UAE. Learning how to skate is easier than it looks. Within a few lessons even those who have never touched an icy surface will be gliding through the ice rink as naturally as walking. Professional coaches are available for individual or group lessons.
Figure skating has been a featured activity at the Abu Dhabi Ice Rink for more than 10 years, and the rink has offered lessons taught by professional ice skating coaches for over 5 years.
Currently, there are over 60 figure skating students who have signed up for individual and group skating lessons at the Abu Dhabi Ice Rink. Our skaters come from more than 15 different countries, making us a veritable United Nations on ice! Skater’s ages range from 5 to above 30 and skating ability ranges rank between beginner level all the way to Freestyle 10.
The Abu Dhabi Falcons Hockey Club
Zayed Sports City is the home of the Abu Dhabi Falcons Ice Hockey Team as well as the host of all their major practice sessions, games and championships. The Abu Dhabi Falcons Ice Hockey Club is a co-educational amateur, volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the development, instruction and practice of youth ice hockey, for youngsters between the ages of 5 and 18. The Abu Dhabi Falcons Ice Hockey Club welcomes all youths, regardless of their skill levels: from beginners to seasoned players, everyone is guaranteed complete dedication and exceptional coaching from our team of volunteer coaches. However, it is your determination and enthusiasm that keeps our club thriving, growing, and constantly improving!

The Abu Dhabi Figure Skating Team
Coached by previous Olympic champion, the Abu Dhabi Figure Skating Team performs an ice show every year and has entertained the residents and visitors of Abu Dhabi with 4 spectacular shows since 2006, with various themes including historic events, fairy tales and most recently “A Night at the Oscars”, which was based on famous movies from around the world.
The Abu Dhabi Figure Skating Team aims to participate in figure skating competitions as regularly as possible and has attended the Dubai Open Figure Skating Championship twice in the last four years, returning with tremendous success.

Being a part of the Abu Dhabi Figure Skating Team comes with a world of benefits:

- Free access to team ice skating sessions (up to 5 hours per week of private ice time)

- Participation in reduced-price team figure skating courses to improve stroking, jumps, spins, musical interpretation, choreography and general fitness
